Introduction

About

I’m a Software Engineer currently pursuing an M.S. in Computer Science at UC Davis, with a foundation in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from UC Berkeley. My experience centers on data structures, algorithms, system-level problem solving, applied AI, and computer graphics, with an emphasis on building well-structured, reliable software.

I primarily work with Python, C++, and Java, and I also have experience building user-facing components with HTML, XML, and JavaScript. While my focus is software engineering, I value clarity, correctness, and user awareness as part of designing systems that behave predictably and scale thoughtfully.

I enjoy debugging complex logic, reasoning through tradeoffs, and refining implementations through testing, iteration, and collaboration. I’m motivated by building software that is technically sound, purposeful, and capable of making a real-world impact.

Work Experience

Sep 2024 - Present

Researcher · Interactive Organisms Lab (UC Davis)

Microfluidic biosensing + Android companion app integration.

  • Designed a microfluidic device (Fusion 360, FormLabs) with colorimetric biosensors to detect biomarkers in bodily fluids
  • Developed a companion Android app (Kotlin + XML) and integrated sensor data pipelines for real-time biomarker detection (80% accuracy)
  • Created and led women-centered case studies (21 participants); incorporated feedback that informed app feature refinements & improved device usability by 20%
  • Co-authored and presented findings in a research report
Sep 2024 – Present

Teaching Assistant · UC Davis

Debugging support, course operations, and lab logistics.

  • Supported 150+ students across 4+ courses and 45+ office hours; resolved 95% of technical/programming issues
  • Managed attendance, exams, and grading for 1000+ assignments and quizzes
  • Assisted with Processing, Python, Arduino/Circuit Playground, and fabrication lab setups
Jan 2022 – Sep 2024

Technical Account Analyst · Zain Psychological & Behavioral Health Services

Backend APIs + testing for internal workflows.

  • Built RESTful APIs using Flask + MongoDB for accounting workflows and UI integration
  • Executed end-to-end testing in Postman, improving user flow by 23% and page speed by 19%
